Our two chosen charities are
McGrath Foundation & Cancer Council
As Bingo continues to grow so has our responsibility to give back to the community and we are proud to support two fantastic Australian charities.
This charity raises money to place McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities across Australia, as well as to provide greater breast cancer awareness education for young women. We have sprayed one of our marrel skip bin trucks bright pink to publicly display our support and ongoing commitment to this charity.
This foundation works across every area of every cancer. Their main goal is to conduct and fund world-class research that will help beat cancer for good. We have dedicated one of our front lift commercial waste trucks to the Cancer Council – giving it a pink makeover to symbolise our support.
Bingo’s involvement with these foundations came about when Bingo’s CEO, Daniel Tartak lost his aunt Rose, his mother’s sister, to breast cancer in March of 2014. Three months later in June 2014, he lost his aunt Mary to lung cancer.
It goes without saying that words cannot describe the devastation and sadness endured during this time. Although, words can describe what Bingo decided to do about it!
Deep Blue 2018
Deep Blue 2018 was held on 1 June 2018 at Doltone House Australian Technology Park and was a magical evening of entertainment, guest appearances and moving speeches.
Guests were treated to aerial performances and an intimate concert by the very talented singer/songwriter, Delta Goodrem. Through live and silent auctions, as well as the abundant support of the community, Bingo set a record-breaking benchmark, and one we are proud to share.
This was equally split amongst McGrath Foundation and Cancer Council – a total of $353,000 each. On 29th June 2018 Bingo announced the much-anticipated result at their head office, with representatives from each organisation accepting the donation with much gratitude.
“We feel humbled and grateful to everyone for their support, contributions and efforts in making the night such a remarkable success,” said Bingo Industries Managing Director and CEO, Daniel Tartak.
