BINGO supports Blacktown Hospital fundraiser

The annual Better Foundation Gala Dinner was held last week at the Blacktown Workers Club to raise important funds for Blacktown and Mount Druitt hospitals. This year, the focus was on raising funds for Blacktown Hospital's Cardiology team and critical medical equipment to help treat the growing number of patients with heart disease and those suffering heart attacks.

For the third year running, BINGO proudly supported the event by hosting a table for the Head of Cardiology, Dr Burgess, his team of cardiologists and a team from BINGO.

“The Blacktown area is an important area for BINGO and the event is an opportunity for us to show our support for the community in which we operate and the local leaders we engage with,” said Rommel Varghese, Head of Public Affairs.

Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospitals (BMDH) are administered as a single hospital (on two sites), and is one of the largest hospitals in Australia. The fundraising efforts support critical equipment needed by a growing population in Blacktown and adjacent areas.”

Since 2016, the Better Foundation has raised over $2.4 million to support the community with state-of-the-art equipment, world’s best practice research and advanced education for all clinical staff at Blacktown and Mount Druitt hospitals.
