BINGO Investor Day 2019

Written by Jonathan V. Published on 28th June 2019

Our first investor day took place at the Shangri La Hotel in The Rocks, Sydney. The day kicked off with updates on the integration of Dial-a-Dump, followed by updates on our inclusion initiatives from Chief People and Culture Officer, Elise Heydon and other updates on our sustainability and Zero Harm activities.

The day focused on providing our investors with updates around the completed development of BINGO’s Patons Lane site and newly acquired Eastern Creek facilities. Following the morning presentations, Investors were given tours of each site.

The tour of BINGO’s Eastern Creek facility involved walk-throughs of the facility, the machinery and the types of materials processed on-site. Investors were also given a behind-the-scenes look at the advanced recycling equipment used throughout the site.

The product bays were next and Rodney Johnson, Chief Executive B&D NSW, guided investors through how waste that is brought into the facility and gets processed into high quality recycled products.

The tour at Eastern Creek concluded with an overview on the landfill and the efforts being taken to divert waste from entering the landfill.

The Patons Lane facility was next on the agenda. It was an exciting opportunity to showcase all the upgrades and the progress that has been made in the last 12 months. Dave Taylor, General Manager - Property & Infrastructure, was on hand to run through these updates, along with Chris Jeffrey, Chief Development Officer.

The Patons Lane facility has been built to be environmentally friendly and have minimal impact on the surrounding area. For example, the mandatory truck tyre washing bay, reuses water from a nearby dam, which was constructed specifically with this in mind. Due to the proximity of the site to residences, a sound-dampening wall was built to reduce the impact of any noise from the site. It was also updated to blend in with the surrounding area, following a request from the community.

The day concluded with a fireside chat, with Daniel Tartak, Managing Director and CEO, Anthony Story, Chief Financial Officer and Chris Jeffrey, Chief Development Officer.
